My artworks explore the unseen significance of environmental factors like family values, justice, and social entitlement. Their influence in our lives means we should reflect on them to better understand ourselves, but I realized that we often don’t recognize the need or even have the time.

Taking a deliberate respite from art catalyzed unexpected innovation and illuminated a purpose for creating: to promote the mental well-being of those consumed by the present through a reflective pause devoid of outside influences. I choose mediums ranging from oil paint to armature wire, taking into account the best way to portray the story I want to tell. Sometimes, glass best represents nature’s delicate beauty; at other times, oil best captures a soft, serene atmosphere.

I begin with mundane experiences from my own life and then draw out new perspectives. In “Washing Away Worries,” I depicted a woman in a laundry room, symbolizing renewal. Gears surround her, indicating infinite possibilities flowing from a break from daily demands. “Cherishing Everyday Moments” uses objects floating around a girl to convey life’s transience and the need to appreciate the little things.

I am also breaking down stereotypes. Invisible Moments, Bitter-Sweet Memories, and Unseen Hope portray the overlooked in society to foster a connection to them, rather than mere sympathy. These insights into others’ lives encourage viewers to contemplate on their own environment and identity.

The belief that unacknowledged people and moments are just part of life is one that we all can – and should – challenge by focusing on the positivity and creativity that inspire new dreams. I hope that my artistry stirs audiences to embrace this – and themselves.
